Some Coaching towards Revival

Thanks for reading this. I’m rejoicing in the goodness of our Father and the Holy Spirit who is with me coaching my heart in revival of faith in prayer and the word of God.

This blog is overflow from my devotional time with Our Father this morning. I began posing the question: How am I to be part of the revival of your people returning to their first love, being restored to simple sincere and pure devotion to Jesus our Lord and Saviour. And revival of discerning and repenting of our love for the world. I am praying for the Holy Spirit to lead us into a revival of repentance and rest in our salvation in Jesus Christ.

This led to praying for revival amongst God’s people, particularly those with leadership roles. For revival in the place we give the word of God in our hearts and lives. And then Holy Spirit led me to read 2 Timothy 2:8-9

Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained.

I am praying for a revival in my heart of faith in God’s word, and for the Holy Spirit to lead me to repentance from faith in myself and my efforts.

As I prayed about this reading and on through 2 Timothy chapters three and four I crafted these prayers.

I ask you to convict and coach my heart and soul through the Holy Spirit.

I ask for conviction of where I have forms of godliness that are denying your power.

Please coach me and reveal to me where my heart is not growing in knowledge of truth.

I ask you to protect me from being deceived by the devil like Adam was deceived. (2 Corinthians 11:3)

Also, I ask you to convict me where I am manipulating your word to suit my desires and not submitting my heart to sound doctrine.

Father, I ask you to revive my hearts desire and discipline towards you, growing in me faith and confidence in your holy scripture.

Father, I thank you for Jesus Christ the living word, and for the written word. Thankyou for giving me the Holy Spirit who leads me into repentance and rest in your salvation in Jesus Christ.

I commit to meditate on your word in the scriptures knowing you will use this to teach me, rebuke me, correct me, train me, and grow faith in me; thoroughly equipping me for every good work.

I am praying this will encourage and stir you to lift the place of the scriptures in your heart. Read 2 Timothy three and four and pray the above prayers. Be aware of how the Holy Spirit is leading you, there may be specific corrections and fresh understandings he is leading you into; take hold of these with repentance and rest.

Have a great day and godly life.
